Milton Keynes has been named a European City of Sport (ECOS) for 2020

Milton Keynes has been named a European City of Sport (ECOS) for 2020 by ACES Europe (the European Cities and Capitals of Sport Federation). ACES Europe is a non-profit association which champions the use of sport to improve people’s quality of life, physical and mental wellbeing. Each year it awards a Capital and several Cities of Sport.

As part of the ECOS Milton Keynes Council are asking for pledges that are based around the number 20. It could be to do 20 minutes of exercise three times a week, swim 20 lengths, take part in 20 park runs or walk around 20 places that you’ve never visited before – whatever you feel comfortable doing.

As partner of Milton Keynes Council, Bletchley Leisure Centre have pledged to support ECOS and also Milton Keynes Council in getting more people, more active. At any InspireAll Milton Keynes site, you can share your 2020 pledge with one of the team, shared pledges are most likely to be successful pledges and together we will both achieve and inspire MK communities to benefit from sport.

Everyone can get involved, individuals young and old, families, schools, clubs to make a #MK20in20 pledge to be more active. To help support this initiative Bletchley Leisure Centre are offering a range of activities throughout the year including an event on the 20th June.

Many of the InspireAll team and customers across the leisure centres have already made their pledges, visit our facebook page to see them.
