Swimming
Dive in at Bletchley Leisure Centre, with our eight-lane, 25-metre certified competition swimming pool. With a continuous gradient starting at 0.9 metres in the shallow end, and down to 1.8 metres at the deep end, our pool is home to the Bletchley Leisure Centre Swim School as well as many local swimming clubs.

Free swimming for eligible residents*
West Bletchley Council provide the opportunity for West Bletchley MK3 residents (Newton Leys postcodes not included) to swim for free in our public or lane swim sessions (under the age of 16 and over the age of 60 years). The facility is also available to residents who are registered disabled or unemployed. You will need proof that you live within the West Bletchley MK3 postcode area and your eligibility. Bletchley & Fenny District Town Council also provide the opportunity for their residents to swim for free in our public or lane swim sessions if eligible (Adults aged 60 years and over, youths aged 3 to 16 years, those in further education aged 16 to 19 years and those who are unemployed as well as those receiving certain support). *Free swimming is subject to a £2 admin fee to be paid annually.
SEND Splash swim sessions
Our inclusive SEND (special educational needs and disability) splash swim session includes exclusive use of the whole pool with toys, free play and lowered music levels for one hour. With easy access to the pool, with both ladder and ramp access. These sessions are perfect for children and family or careers to attend.
Every Wednesday 10am – 11am and last Saturday of each month 4pm – 5pm
Swimming Lessons
For ages six months to adult, our Swim School is the perfect place to start your swimming journey with lessons or to brush up on key skills with our seasonal Crash Courses. Our dedicated team of Instructors follow the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme, the leading national teaching syllabus, helping children and adults to learn how to swim in a safe, effective and enjoyable environment. Our Swim School runs for 50 weeks of the year and you can join at any time. Swimming lessons are available to purchase via Direct Debit.
May Half Term Crash Courses
We will be running crash courses during the may half term, between Monday 27th – Friday 31st May, the five day, 30 minute courses will run;
- 9.00am – Stage 2
- 9.30am – Stage 1
Each course is £42.50 per person.
We will also be running a Breastroke clinic with CMK coach Hannah for those stage 4 and above on;
- Wednesday 29th May, 4.00 – 4.45pm, £12 per person.

Swim England Learn to Swim Programme
There are four specialised frameworks in the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme:
Discovery Ducklings and Duckling Awards
This is an ideal introduction to water through fun and games for children from six months old. Comprised of two stages, Discovery Duckling and Duckling Awards. Discovery Duckling Awards are the start of the learn to swim experience for all children. These awards are perfect for babies and toddlers and pre-school children who are new to swimming lessons. Duckling Awards are the next step on from the Discovery Duckling Awards. They are designed to help toddlers enjoy learning to swim with help from their parents or guardians. From these sessions, children will gain water confidence and foundations as they start their swimming journey.
Lessons take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Stay and Play sessions (term time only)
For children aged 6 months – up to 4 years we are now offering a teacher lead drop-in session on Sunday afternoons. These are at 3pm for 30mins. This is £8.00 per session and can be booked three days before with our reception team.
Learn to Swim Framework
Suitable for children aged from 4 years, the seven stages will teach children the fundamentals of swimming and help them to develop into confident and competent swimmers through fun and enjoyment.
Lessons take place throughout the week, Monday – Friday between 4.00pm – 7.00pm, Saturday mornings from 8.00am – 11.15am and Sunday mornings from 8.30am – 11.00am. Click on each stage below for further information.
Aquatics Skills Framework
The Learn to Swim Stages 8-10 Awards make up the Aquatic Skills Framework of the Learn to Swim Programme. They continue the swimmer’s journey past Learn to Swim Stage 7 of the Learn to Swim Framework, helping them to develop existing skills further including synchro, water polo, diving and swimming.
45 minute Lessons take place:
- Monday – Friday 6.00pm
- Saturdays 10.00am
- Sunday 11.30am
Adult Swimming Framework
For older teens and adults that are looking to start swimming these sessions cater for a range of abilities, from non and nervous swimmers to those that want to build water confidence. These sessions help develop swimming skills and technique.
We run the following lessons for adults:
- Adult Beginners – Monday 8.30pm, Tuesday 11.00am, Wednesday 7.30am & 6.00pm and Thursdays 11.30am
- Adult Intermediate lessons – Monday 9.15pm, Tuesday 6.00pm, Wednesday 6.45am and Thursday 12.15pm
Home Portal
The home portal will be able to view the current status of your child’s progress.
Before you can access the portal you will need to activate your child’s account by logging on below and following the instructions on the screen and validate the data. You will need to know your membership card barcode number.
Should you wish to cancel your swimming lessons, please complete the following form and a member of the team will be in touch shortly. Please note that a minimum of 14 days notice is required before the next direct debit is due to be collected, in order to process a cancellation request.
